Red Seal Automotive Technician
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at a growing automotive service facility in Calgary, Alberta. We are looking for a skilled professional who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Automotive Technician with a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models and be confident performing both routine maintenance and advanced repairs.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to completing high-quality repairs in a fast-paced automotive service environment. Candidates must have their own professional tools and be comfortable working independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using industry-standard diagnostic equipment, tools, and technical resources.
- Complete routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, suspension repairs, shocks and struts replacement, and brake repairs.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, powertrain components, and related systems.
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
- Perform complex repairs including engine repairs, welding, and other mechanical services as required.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and services completed.
- Communicate vehicle findings and repair recommendations clearly with customers and team members.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized automotive equipment.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards, quality expectations, and manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications
- Must hold a Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification.
- Must have your own professional tools required to perform automotive repairs.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair abilities.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.
