Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Repair Technician or manual machinist to join our component rebuilding team. This role involves disassembling, repairing, and rebuilding hydraulic system components to ensure optimal operation of machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, with experience in assembly, maintenance, and the use of various tools and schematics. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a background in manufacturing, heavy equipent, or auto mechanic work to apply their expertise in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic components, including pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, final drives and related components
- Perform preventative maintenance on hydraulic equipment to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret schematics, CAD drawings, and technical manuals to accurately troubleshoot issues
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and schematics for repairs and assembly
- Conduct heavy lifting as required to handle large components safely
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance procedures in compliance with safety standards
- Proficient use of manual lathe and manual knee milling machine
Experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing, heavy equipment repair, truck and coach, mechanical maintenance, or auto repair is essential
- Electrical experience is highly desirable for troubleshooting electrical components within hydraulic systems
- Hands-on experience with welding, assembly, fabrication, machining, and the use of hand tools and power tools is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, schematics, and mechanical principles is preferred but not necessary for effective troubleshooting and repairs
- Experience turning, threading, and chasing on manual lathe.
This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in mechanical systems, hydraulic maintenance, and or manual machining. Candidates should be comfortable working with various tools and technical documentation to ensure machinery operates reliably and efficiently.
Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
