Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Forman to lead our landscaping team in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for horticulture, and a solid background in landscape maintenance. As a Landscape Supervisor, you will oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality work while fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the landscaping crew, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards.
- Lead landscape maintenance efforts, including mowing, trimming, planting, and garden care.
- Build and install landscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition; report any repairs needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean job site.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or related field is essential.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred; strong leadership skills are a must.
- Familiarity with garden design principles and plant care techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience in building hardscape features (e.g., patios, walls) is an asset.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance is beneficial.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while managing physical labor demands.
- Ability to read and understand landscape designs and execute them.
