We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our lumber yard retail team. Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Lead and supervise sales associates, providing coaching, training, and development to enhance team performance.
- Oversee merchandising efforts to optimize product placement, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and bookkeeping.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Experience
- Proven supervisory or team management experience within building supplies or retail or related industries.
- Strong background in retail sales, merchandising, and store operations management.
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience motivating teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with strong organizational skills and time management capabilities.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
