Job Title: Orchard Pesticide Sprayer
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Orchard Pesticide Sprayer to join our team. As an Orchard Pesticide Sprayer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient application of pesticides to our orchards in order to protect our crops from pests and diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain spraying equipment, including pumps, tanks, and nozzles.
- Mix and apply pesticides in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust spraying schedules as needed.
- Record application rates and keep accurate records of all spraying activities.
- Inspect orchards for signs of pest and disease damage and report any issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Previous experience in orchard pesticide spraying.
- Knowledge of pesticides and their safe handling and application.
- Ability to read and follow pesticide labels and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
