Early Roots Child Care Centre is excited to offer a full-time Toddler/Preschool Program, and we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or an individual interested in pursuing a career in ECE to join our dedicated team starting August 24th 2026!

Position Responsibilities
Reporting to the Program Supervisor, the successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and Ontario licensing requirements to ensure compliance with all provincial and municipal regulations. (training provided)
- Collaborate with a team of educators to plan, develop, and implement engaging daily programming.
- Prepare weekly individual and classroom program plans that support children's learning and development.
- Lead play-based learning experiences guided by How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years. (training provided)
- Observe, document, assess, and communicate children's progress and development.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with families and encourage parent engagement through regular communication.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through responsive, child-centred practices.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, or an interest in enrolling in the Early Childhood Educator Program.
- A minimum of one year of experience working in a licensed child care setting (preferred).
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
- A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Location
Our child care centre is located in Wiarton, Ontario. Applicants must be able to reliably commute to this location.
