We are seeking an experienced Finishing Carpenter with 5+ years of professional carpentry experience to join our growing renovation team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works efficiently, and is capable of managing their workload independently. We are looking for a carpenter who is confident making decisions on site, solving problems as they arise, and consistently producing high-quality work without requiring constant supervision.
Our projects are located throughout Belleville, Napanee, Prince Edward County, and surrounding areas. This is not a position based at one location. Successful applicants must be willing and able to travel daily to different job sites as project schedules require.
Key Responsibilities
- Install interior trim including baseboards, casings, crown moulding, doors, hardware, custom millwork, and built-in cabinetry.
- Complete exterior finish carpentry including siding, soffit, fascia, exterior trim, decks, railings, pergolas, and porch details.
- Perform high-quality residential renovations, additions, and restoration work.
- Measure, cut, fit, and install materials accurately while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Complete finishing work that meets or exceeds company quality standards.
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and identify practical solutions on site.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, subcontractors, and homeowners when required.
- Work independently while staying productive and meeting project deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional finishing carpentry experience.
- Proven experience with both interior and exterior residential renovations.
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Strong knowledge of finishing carpentry methods, materials, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing job site conditions.
- High attention to detail with pride in producing quality workmanship.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional with a strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team when required.
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence.
- Reliable personal vehicle with the ability to travel daily between job sites throughout Belleville, Napanee, Prince Edward County, and surrounding areas.
- A complete set of personal hand tools required for finishing carpentry. Ownership of power tools is considered a strong asset.
- Steel-toe safety boots and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
- High-end residential renovations
- Cottage renovations and restorations
- Exterior siding and trim installation
- Decks, pergolas, and outdoor living spaces
- Window and door installation
- Custom finish carpentry and millwork
- Minor framing and structural repairs
Please Note:
This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking an experienced carpenter who can arrive on site ready to work, complete projects to a high standard, and work independently without constant direction. Candidates who do not meet the minimum experience requirements or who do not have reliable transportation and their own tools will not be considered.
