Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher. We are a warm, nurturing in-home multi-age daycare located in Kelowna. We care for a small group of children (maximum of 8) and focus on creating a calm, engaging, play-based learning environment where children feel safe and supported. The Early Childhood Educator (ECE) will be the sole educator on-site during operating hours. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, building strong relationships with children and families, and creating a structured yet fun daily program.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote learning and development in early childhood.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and daily activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Take on a manager role as the sole educator at the centre
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety standards, and best practices in early childhood education.
