Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our dynamic food service team. This role involves supporting kitchen operations, preparing meals, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and cooking to meet quality standards and safety regulations
- Support kitchen staff with meal assembly and plating
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Handle food safety procedures, including proper food handling and storage
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cashiering tasks
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Manage cash handling accurately during transactions
- Ensure timely delivery of orders to maintain efficient service flow
- Support guest services by addressing customer inquiries courteously
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with Micros POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Experience in customer service roles such as serving or guest services is desirable
- Hospitality or hotel experience, including barista skills or bar service, is a plus
- Attention to detail, cleanliness, and adherence to health regulations are essential
