Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team. This role involves preparing high-quality sandwiches and other food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and a passion for delivering a positive dining experience. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with strong time management skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to company recipes and customer specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations in compliance with food safety standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service, addressing any questions or special requests
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Follow sanitation protocols to maintain a clean kitchen environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, and cash handling procedures
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order calculations
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food industry operations is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; weekend availability is a plus
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
