SanDale Automotive and Fabrication specializes in custom automotive and fabrication, and antique vehicle restoration and repairs but also service general mechanical repairs. We have been providing high quality automotive services to our customers for over 20 years and we are currently looking for a motivated and reliable fabrication welder to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Automotive knowledge an asset
- Ability to TIG weld Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Mild Steel
- Ability to MIG weld
- Familiarity of conventional and precision measuring instruments
- Use and knowledge of all core welding/ fabrication tools to weld, cut, or trim metal objects to dimensions, as required
- Accurately cut and bend material to required specs
- Position, clamp, and jig components to prepare for welding
- Familiarity with rust repair and panel replacement an asset
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workstation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years experience would be an asset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working independently.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to and from work daily.
- Ability to work 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and place supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting.
- Safely operate a motor vehicle.
The ideal candidate is someone that is able learn quickly and adapt their skillset based on our needs. Having general knowledge in the automotive/fabrication is expected. Someone that is able to grow and show interest in what we do is essentially what we are looking for.
