About the Role
We're looking for a skilled rubber tire backhoe operator to join a civil crew in New Westminster. This is hands-on work that demands precision, situational awareness, and a strong safety mindset.
You'll be working in tight environments around underground utilities, active personnel, and moving equipment. There's no room for error, and we need someone who operates with that level of focus every shift.
What You'll Be Doing
Backfilling and pipe packing on civil projects
Operating in close proximity to ground crew, buried services (water, gas, electrical), and moving vehicles.
Reading the job site and making sound judgment calls in complex conditions
Following safety protocols and maintaining your equipment
What We're Looking For
Proven experience on a civil crew as a rubber-tire backhoe operator
Ability to operate with precision in high-stakes conditions
Strong English communication skills
Valid work permit (required)
Bonus: Experience with a skid steer / mini loader is a major asset
