Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and service, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel food service is highly valued. The Food Service Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high-quality standards and operational efficiency to ensure an outstanding dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet safety and quality guidelines
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures
- Lead, train, and evaluate team members; conduct interviews and assist with staff scheduling
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Monitor cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, enforcing sanitation standards
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and promote excellent customer service
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling waste
- Support restaurant management in implementing policies and achieving operational goals
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or hospitality roles including supervising teams
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills required
- Excellent leadership abilities with team management experience; capable of motivating staff
- Skilled in customer service with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Background in food handling, kitchen operations, or the food industry preferred
- Previous experience in restaurant or hotel environments is advantageous; barista experience or serving background is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
