We are looking for a hands-on, reliable Assistant Manager to help lead our team and keep our café thriving for years to come.Role OverviewAs our Assistant Manager, you will work closely with us to oversee day-to-day operations while preserving the warm, familiar vibe our regulars love. You will spend your time leading from the floor, mentoring baristas, and handling inventory. Core Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Help train, schedule, and mentor our team of baristas to maintain high standards of quality and service.
- Floor Operations: Oversee daily floor operations, ensuring the café is clean, well-merchandised, and running smoothly.
- Inventory & Ordering: Monitor stock levels, track waste, and place orders for coffee beans, dairy, and cafe supplies.
- Admin & Cash Management: Assist with POS management and basic back-of-house administrative tasks.
- Quality & Community: Foster strong relationships with our longtime regulars and ensure every cup meets our quality standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a coffee shop, café, or fast-casual hospitality environment.
- Community Focus: A warm, outgoing personality who values the "neighborhood spot" atmosphere and loves connecting with people.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
- Language: Bilingualism (French and English) required.
- Coffee Knowledge: A genuine passion for specialty coffee and café culture.
