About this role
MGB Building Group delivers high-end custom homes and complex residential renovations across the GTA. We're looking for an experienced Site Supervisor (also known as a Construction Site Supervisor, Site Superintendent, or Construction Foreman) who has led trades on residential job sites, enforced schedules, and kept projects accountable — someone with genuine leadership presence, not just construction experience.
This is a field-first role. You'll be on-site daily across multiple locations, running morning checks, managing crews, documenting progress, and making decisions that keep projects moving. If you've supervised teams in a hands-on capacity and can demonstrate that projects ran on time and to standard under your watch, we want to hear from you. If your experience is primarily as a skilled tradesperson without a formal supervisory role, this position is likely not the right fit.
Who this is for: A site supervisor with 5+ years of direct supervisory experience in residential construction — someone who has managed trade crews and subcontractors, enforced timelines, documented site progress rigorously, and held people accountable when work doesn't meet standard.
What you'll own
- Daily on-site leadership across active residential job sites — you are the authority on the ground
- Trade and subcontractor coordination: schedule, direct, and hold crews accountable to timelines and quality standards
- Project scheduling and weekly checklists: plan two weeks ahead, track labour hours, and monitor productivity against milestones
- Daily documentation via BuilderTrend: logs, to-do tasks, safety audits, and reports submitted consistently and on time
- Drawing review and execution oversight: read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints, and ensure accurate implementation on-site
- Material management: monitor usage, minimize waste, and coordinate delivery schedules in advance with the office team
- Safety compliance: conduct daily audits, investigate and document incidents or near-misses, and enforce site safety standards and health and safety regulations
- Client and stakeholder communication: represent MGB professionally with clients, designers, architects, and Project Managers
- Escalations and conflict resolution: address site issues decisively and proactively — not after they've delayed the schedule
- Drive between job sites across the GTA throughout the day as required
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in residential construction — custom homes and century-home renovations specifically
- A proven track record of managing trade crews and subcontractors and holding them accountable to scope, schedule, and quality
- Demonstrated ability to enforce project timelines and scheduling — you've been the person who keeps things moving, not just observing
- Strong documentation habits: daily logs, progress reports, safety records, and incident documentation done thoroughly and on time
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and site plans accurately
- Proficiency with BuilderTrend or comparable construction management software
- Solid knowledge of Ontario Building Code, OHSA safety regulations, and residential construction standards
- Clear, direct communication with trades, office staff, and clients — no ambiguity, no dropped balls
- Valid G-class driver's licence and reliable vehicle — daily travel between sites is required
