Opportunity to be promoted as full-time 36-40 hours/week after 6 months.
Compensation: $18/hour + tips (shared and prorated evenly when multiple staff are onsite)

Mandatory Qualifications & Eligibility
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada only (Candidates with only work permits are not eligible)
- Must have legal status in the Province of Alberta
- Government-issued ID must show an Alberta address
- Must be physically located in Central Alberta and able to commute to both Sylvan Lake and Red Deer area.
- Available to work a flexible schedule within the stated weekly hours for both Sylvan Lake and Red Deer locations.
- Must have a valid food handler certificate
- Minimum 1-year of food services experience
- Military experience preferred: Honorably discharged Canadian Armed Forces veterans are highly encouraged to apply.
Job Overview
This position supports the Store Owner in both operational setup and ongoing store operations. This role is hands-on and customer-facing, with the majority of time spent working on the floor, while also assisting with organization, communication, and team coordination to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Store Operations (Approx. 75%)
- Prepare and serve all beverages and menu items
- Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
- Support opening and closing duties as assigned
- Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service
- Assist with supply, inventory handling and restocking
- Work collaboratively with team members during shifts
Communication, Organization & Management Support (Approx. 25%)
- Organizing daily tasks, shifts, workflows, and shift priorities
- Communicate effectively with the owner and team members
- Support interactions with government agencies and regulatory bodies as required
- Participate in interviewing, onboarding, and training of team members
- Help ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures
- Support the general administrative and organizational needs of the store
Compensation, Overtime & Statutory Holidays
- Hourly wage: $18/hour
- Overtime: Overtime pay or time off in lieu will be provided in accordance with Alberta Employment Standards for eligible hours worked beyond standard thresholds
- Statutory Holidays: Entitlement to statutory holiday pay and/or premium pay in accordance with Alberta Employment Standards, based on eligibility and hours worked
- Tips: Shared and prorated evenly among staff onsite
- Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly
Pay: $18.00 per hour
