Superintendent - Water / Wastewater Construction
Our client is looking for a Site Superintendent to join their team in Ontario. The successful candidate will oversee an upcoming Wastewater Treatment Plant project in Hamilton, Ontario. Applicants may also be considered for other superintendent positions across the province.
As a Site Superintendent, you will lead site staff, field engineering, and field teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, with a focus on water/wastewater and clean energy infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Lead field operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and risk management standards.
- Manage and guide field employees, fostering effective communication between field teams and other project stakeholders.
- Develop and implement project work plans to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Serve as a senior presence in the field, mentoring staff, resolving issues, and reviewing site labor requirements.
- Provide coaching and succession planning for field staff to support long-term success.
- Oversee projects of varying sizes and scopes, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Travel or relocate near the project site as required; flexibility is essential.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and client expectations.
- Monitor project progress and address challenges proactively to mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
- Foster a culture of safety, integrity, and teamwork on-site.
- Support recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives for field staff.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction experience in a leadership role with a General Contractor.
- Experience in heavy civil wastewater infrastructure or similar projects.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field (ex. CET or equivalent).
- Proficiency in MS Office and Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project).
- Experience managing site operations for complex projects valued at over $50 million.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to travel or relocate near the project site as needed.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay: $100,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
