Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Vocational Teacher to lead the Industrial Drafting Program on a part-time basis. The students will develop the skills necessary to determine the information to include on drawings, solve problems related to industrial drafting, taking and interpreting measurements, understand the manufacturing processes. The students will use a computer-aided drafting program to interpret, carry out and correct drawings of mechanical components, assembly, mechanisms, piping and circuit diagrams, making three-dimensional drawings and designing a simple technical object. Students will learn to work in a multi-disciplinary team to execute projects.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in industrial drafting, utilizing both theoretical concepts and practical applications.
- Develop and update curriculum materials to align with industry standards and educational best practices.
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
- Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and skill development.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and documentation related to student performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance program offerings and ensure alignment with institutional goals.
- Stay current with advancements in drafting technology and industry trends to incorporate into instruction.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience teaching technical or vocational subjects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industrial drafting principles, tools, and software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Experience in curriculum development or instructional design is a plus.

Pay: $79.67 per hour
