Summary
Sherway Group, a leading warehousing and logistics company based in Mississauga, Ontario, and is currently seeking an EDI Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology, this employee will work with internal EDI, IT and WMS staff as well as external EDI vendors and customers.
Job Duties
- Coordinate day-to-day EDI communications between internal teams, customers, vendors, EDI trading partners, third-party providers, and external EDI support resources.
- Act as the primary liaison between EDI Developers, customers, vendors, internal stakeholders, and third-party providers to ensure issues, changes, and requirements are clearly communicated and tracked.
- Monitor EDI activity and production processes, identify failures or communication issues, and coordinate troubleshooting through to resolution.
- Investigate and resolve EDI-related issues by reviewing transaction flow, message status, file movement, communication errors, and supporting system information.
- Support testing of new EDI implementations, changes, and trading partner updates, including coordination of test files, issue follow-up, and validation with internal and external parties.
- Assist vendors, customers, and internal users with compliance and EDI-related questions, escalations, and troubleshooting requirements.
- Ensure timely and effective communication of EDI issues, risks, updates, and resolution status throughout the organization.
- Create, update, and maintain clear documentation for EDI processes, vendor requirements, customer specifications, troubleshooting procedures, testing steps, and internal workflows.
- Own and maintain the vendor manual and associated documentation, ensuring information remains accurate, current, and easy to follow.
- Document recurring issues, root causes, resolutions, and lessons learned to improve support consistency and reduce repeat escalations.
- Develop and maintain vendor and buyer compliance scorecards, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Provide recommendations on vendor compliance standards, best practices, documentation improvements, and opportunities for efficiency improvement or cost reduction.
- Collaborate with finance, logistics, and operations teams to investigate vendor-related issues, prepare non-compliance charges where applicable, and support compliance cost recovery.
- Participate in or facilitate meetings with vendors, third parties, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimal weekend work may be required.
Education, Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Technology, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
- Experience coordinating EDI communications, supporting trading partner relationships, and troubleshooting EDI transaction or communication issues
- Required proficiency in IBM B2B Sterling Integrator and Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in Gentran, Truckmate, BlueYonder or Power BI is an asset.
- Experience with SPS Commerce, Wal-Mart Retail Link, and IBM SaaS Hub portals is an asset.
- Knowledge and experience with EDI, warehousing, logistics, and supply chain processes.
- Ability to access EDI systems, retrieve files, review transaction activity, and support client testing or analysis.
- Strong technical writing skills with experience creating, updating, and maintaining process documentation, user guides, troubleshooting steps, or operating procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
