About The Media Firm.
The Media Firm. is a Toronto-based content marketing agency specializing in high-performing content for premium brands across the Greater Toronto Area: real estate professionals, builders, and design-focused brands.
In addition to client work, we operate a growing real estate media platform with strong audience reach (100k+ followers) across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. This platform runs its own content pipeline (submissions, property content, brand partnerships) on the same operational standard we bring to every client account.
Role Overview
We are building a luxury lifestyle event brand and we need someone to build the visual and brand foundation it launches on. The venues are secured. The guest list is built. The first event is ready to execute. What does not exist yet is the brand. No logo. No color system. No visual identity. No website. Nothing.
The person we hire will build all of it from a blank canvas.
Picture an invitation-only experience where the guest list is as curated as the environment itself. The room will be filled with real estate professionals, automotive enthusiasts, tech founders, investors, and entrepreneurs. It is exclusive by design, and the brand needs to communicate that sense of belonging before anyone has even been invited.
Three brands capture the direction we are building toward. Malbon built a visual identity so strong that people wore the brand before they ever played the game. Malbon Home extended that into intimate, community-driven storytelling that made the brand feel personal, not just aesthetic. Hampton Founders built a network so carefully curated that people wanted in before they even knew what was inside. We are building all three of those qualities into one brand: the visual world of Malbon, the storytelling of Malbon Home, and the access positioning of Hampton Founders.
If you follow all three and immediately understand why they work, you already understand what we are trying to build.
This is also an AI-first role. You will use Claude to accelerate research, brand naming, guidelines copy, and campaign ideation. Your job is to bring the creative vision, direct that output, and execute at a standard that makes the brand look like it has been around for years on launch day.
Core Responsibilities
Brand Identity and Visual System (AI-Assisted)
- Build the full brand identity from scratch: logo, wordmark, color palette, typography, and visual language
- Use Claude to research brand positioning, naming directions, and competitive landscape. Apply your creative judgment to what comes out
- Write and design the full brand guidelines document: a real brand bible that anyone on the team can execute from
- Own brand consistency across every touchpoint from launch day forward
Digital Presence: Website and Email (AI-Assisted)
- Design and build the brand website. Brand-forward, not template-forward
- Use Claude to draft website copy, then refine and apply your voice to it
- Design email newsletter templates and campaign assets
Event Branding and Campaign Assets (AI-Assisted)
- Design the full event branding kit: signage, digital announcements, on-site materials, and sponsor-facing assets
- Design ongoing graphic assets for social, launch announcements, and event promotions
- Maintain brand consistency across every event touchpoint
Content Marketing Strategy (AI-Assisted)
- Take lead on the content marketing strategy: how the brand tells its story before, during, and after each event
- Use Claude to research content formats, build content calendars, and map the narrative arc of each event cycle
- Bring your perspective on what this brand should look and feel like in motion, not just in print
- Collaborate directly with the founder on strategic direction while owning the execution of the content plan
- Provide creative direction on shoots, video content, and social storytelling across the event series
What We're Looking For
- A portfolio that proves you have built a brand from the ground up, not just executed inside someone else's system
- Strong aesthetic sense for lifestyle, luxury, and premium event positioning
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop at minimum)
- Experience designing and building websites (Webflow, Squarespace, or similar)
- Email design experience (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar)
- Fully fluent in Claude and other AI tools as the core way of working. This is not a bonus skill, it is the foundation of how we operate
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage your own timeline without hand-holding
Bonus Experience
- Experience branding luxury, automotive, or real estate products
- Background in experiential marketing or event branding
- Understanding of how community-driven lifestyle brands are built, not just designed
Compensation
This is a ground-floor engagement. Upfront compensation is limited, and we are transparent about that. What we are offering is real creative ownership, access to a high-caliber network, and a path to ongoing involvement as the brand grows.
If that is not the right fit for where you are, no hard feelings. If it is, let us talk.
