Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
