Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining underground pipelines and related infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical systems, and safety protocols to ensure efficient project completion. The Pipelayer will work closely with other construction professionals to deliver high-quality results on time and within safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lay and install underground pipelines using heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bucket trucks
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, fitting, and securing pipes
- Perform welding tasks as needed to join pipe sections or repair damaged infrastructure
- Assist with electrical connections involving low voltage systems related to pipeline projects
- Conduct site preparation, including trenching, grading, and compaction
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on-site
- Maintain equipment and tools in proper working condition
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and rigging techniques
- Knowledge of electrical systems, especially low voltage wiring in construction settings
- Ability to operate bucket operation equipment safely and effectively
- Familiarity with trenching, piping installation, and site preparation procedures
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment use and construction sites
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- at least 4 years experience
