Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor/Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent cooking skills, and a strong understanding of food safety protocols. As a Kitchen Supervisor/Line Cook, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, assist in meal preparation, and ensure that all food service operations meet our quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance and support to maintain efficient workflow.
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in meal planning, inventory management, and ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment maintenance and sanitation.
- Serve food promptly and courteously to customers or staff, ensuring excellent service experience.
- Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and restaurant policies.
- Monitor portion control and presentation standards to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including meal preparation, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.
- Excellent skills in serving, food handling, and meal presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service principles is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed.
