Commonwealth Kitchen & Bar is a casual fine dining lounge in downtown Winnipeg looking for experienced staff to uphold the qualities we value most, friendliness, flawless execution, and a warm passion for hospitality.
Putting forth restaurant service which transitions into a nightlife late night bar heavy service, we are looking for a barback who is willing to work hard and learn more about bar service and looking to expand their experience and knowledge of the service industry.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and clean glassware
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and refuse service to intoxicated or underage individuals
- Clean and sanitize bar area, including counters, utensils, and equipment
- Maintain inventory of bar supplies and restock as needed
- Process customer payments and operate cash register
- Ensure the bartenders have everything needed to execute a great service
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with customers
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Hard worker who is available late nights on weekends
