Duties
- Prepare fresh, high-quality burritos and other menu items with precision and speed, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage food handling responsibilities by maintaining proper sanitation, safety standards, and food safety protocols throughout your shift.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, upselling menu items, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Assist with food prep tasks including chopping ingredients, assembling burritos, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and balancing registers at the end of your shift.
- Support team members by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and ensuring the restaurant remains sanitized and organized.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to keep pace during busy hours while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or working in a quick service or fast food restaurant is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing.
- Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and adhering to food safety regulations is essential.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in a retail or restaurant environment is a plus.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and inventory management are required.
- Restaurant experience involving serving or cashiering roles will support success in this position.
- Knowledge of the food industry standards for sanitation, safety, and quality assurance is advantageous.
