Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
1. Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for
the security and safety of client property, its assets and personnel
2. Patrol assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards,
unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical
problems, and unauthorized persons.
3. Make periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices
and fire control equipment.
4. Control access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
5. Preserve order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site
pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
6. Apply de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts or tense situations effectively
and safely, minimizing risk and ensuring a calm resolution
7. Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water
discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other
incidents.
8. Use of communication systems to report and inform.
9. Monitor intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring
software.
10. Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or
security investigations.
11. Prepare logs and reports as required
12. Satisfy client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to
the client's property and assets.
13. Ability to use computer systems
Requirements:
Current and valid Security License
A valid OFA 1/ Basic First Aid certificate
Must have excellent technological skills.
Excellent report writing skills
Highly observant, attentive and vigilant.
Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
Knowledge of handling different alarm systems
Must have excellent computer skills
Must be able to patrol for long hours
Must have excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong customer service skills
A professional and a team player
Experience using de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution
Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
