Northwood Landscaping is a WCB-insured landscape construction company based in the Lower Mainland, BC, with most of our current projects in South Surrey. We're looking for an experienced Foreman / Crew Lead to run day-to-day operations on our hardscape and landscaping job sites. This is part-time work to start, with potential to grow into full-time hours as our project volume increases.
Requirements
- 3+ years hands-on experience in landscape construction or hardscaping
- Prior experience leading or supervising a small crew
- Strong knowledge of paver installation, retaining walls, grading, and general landscape construction
- Comfortable reading site plans and directing crew to grade/slope specs
- Valid driver's licence required
- Equipment experience (compactors, mini excavators) an asset
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the crew on day-to-day job site operations
- Plan and coordinate daily tasks to keep projects on schedule
- Install and oversee hardscape work - pavers, retaining walls, grading
- Ensure quality control and safety standards are met on every job
- Communicate progress and issues back to management
- Mentor and train junior crew members
