This is a maternity leave coverage role for the periods of October 2026 to June 2027 and September 2027 to June 2028.
Duties:
- Plan and conduct lessons following the school's curriculum guidelines
- Create a positive and engaging classroom environment
- Provide individualized instruction to students with varying abilities
- Assess and monitor student progress
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members
Experience:
Bachelor of Education and have the required teacher certification
Adaptable and flexible in a supportive learning environment
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Evidence of student-centered learning experiences
Commitment to professional development, and self-motivated
Strong organizational skills, as well as knowledge of curriculum
Current Criminal Check
Minimum one year teaching experience

This is a non-unionized position in a First Nation Community. It is an ideal opportunity to experience a unique, rural teaching experience with small classroom sizes. The successful candidate will work as a part of a hands on, energetic atmosphere focused on creating success for our students.
