Northland Radiator Service is currently seeking a mechanically inclined General Labourer with hands-on experience and a strong work ethic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical systems and possess basic welding skills, particularly in aluminum and steel. Please note that we are “NOT LOOKING FOR A WELDER APPRENTICE” at this time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with mechanical assembly, repair, and maintenance tasks
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Washing/Cleaning using chemicals and pressure washer
- Follow all safety protocols and workplace procedures
- Support technicians and tradespeople as needed
- Loading/Unloading, Shipping and receiving.
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Health and safety conscious.
Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and equipment
- Basic tig welding/Alum brazing knowledge and experience with aluminum is an asset
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and perform manual labor
- Willingness to learn and take on various tasks as needed
- Valid driver’s license is an asset
Preferred:
- Previous shop or field experience
- Maintenance and Mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge of safe welding practices and basic fabrication (Aluminium and Steel)
- Forklift/Overhead cranes or equipment operation experience is a plus (ticket)
- WHIMS (preferred)
