The Senior SAP Supply Chain Functional Analyst is a functional specialist responsible for designing, validating, and enabling SAP S/4HANA-based supply chain processes that align business objectives with SAP standard capabilities. Serving as the strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, you will ensure end-to-end supply chain processes are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and aligned with clean-core principles.
The ideal candidate possesses deep strengths and familiarity with key integrated SAP platforms—specifically Fieldglass and Ariba—and understands their real-time interactions with the S/4HANA Core.

Accountabilities
- Functional Design & SAP Enablement
-
Guide the design and validation of SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain processes to ensure alignment with business objectives and SAP standard capabilities.

Provide functional oversight and governance for assigned Supply Chain domains in the SAP landscape, translating business requirements into fit-to-standard SAP designs.

Identify process inefficiencies and recommend SAP-enabled improvements that support simplification, standardization, and automation.

Fit-to-Standard & Clean Core Execution
-
Facilitate and lead fit-to-standard workshops, confirming where SAP standard is adopted and documenting justified deviations.

Evaluate functional gaps and recommend appropriate solutions (configuration, standard extensions, or governed customizations) in alignment with Clean Core principles.

Ensure Supply Chain designs remain upgrade-safe, scalable, and support long-term operability.

Cross-Functional Integration & Collaboration
-
Collaborate with project functional and technical teams to ensure end-to-end process alignment.

Validate and confirm Supply Chain integration requirements with upstream and downstream systems (including Ariba, Fieldglass, OpenInvoice, VIM, logistics, and analytics platforms).

Partner with the system integrator to review and approve functional designs and ensure quality delivery.

Governance, Scope & Risk Management
-
Support functional decision-making within SAP Plus governance, escalating decisions as required based on scope, risk, or cross-functional impact.

Manage Supply Chain requirements and scope clarity, actively reducing delivery risk, late design changes, and functional impacts.

Testing, Data & Deployment Readiness
-
Define and support functional test scenarios to ensure full coverage of real-world Supply Chain operations.

Validate Supply Chain master and transactional data readiness, working with data owners to address quality issues including data integrity, testing completion, and cutover preparedness.

Business Adoption & Sustainment
-
Contribute to training and change enablement activities to support adoption of new Supply Chain processes and tools.

Act as a trusted advisor during transition to operations, supporting a stable day-one go-live and post-go-live stabilization.
Key Decisions Owned by This Role

Process Standardization: Decide which Supply Chain processes follow the SAP S/4HANA standard and which require justified deviations due to regulatory, risk, or strategic business requirements.

Gap Resolution: Determine how functional gaps are addressed (standard extensions vs. custom builds).

Integration Optimization: Identify and execute integration optimization and harmonization possibilities.
-
Design Validation: Confirm and validate final design alignment for end-to-end processes and their integration with upstream/downstream systems.

Go-Live Standards: Establish clear, minimum readiness standards for Supply Chain go-live (data quality, test completion, cutover/integration readiness, and operational support models).
Qualifications
-
8+ years of deep functional expertise in SAP Supply Chain, including participation in at least one major ERP implementation or transformation, and substantial IS Support and Enhancement work.

Strong functional specialization in Materials Management (MM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and Integrated Business Planning (IBP).

Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes, including Procure-to-Pay, Inventory & Logistics, Order-to-Cash, and demand/supply planning.

Hands-on experience designing and validating SAP solutions within enterprise ERP transformation or modernization programs.

S/4HANA & Clean Core Capability
-
Proven ability to apply fit-to-standard and clean core principles, minimizing customization to support long-term SAP upgradeability.

Working knowledge of integrated SAP platforms such as Ariba and Fieldglass, as well as ecosystem tools (OpenInvoice, VIM), and their interaction with S/4HANA.

Experience evaluating and approving functional gaps, extensions, and custom developments within structured governance frameworks.

Data, Integration & Delivery Skills

Strong experience guiding fit-to-standard workshops, requirement validation, and functional design across complex, cross-functional landscapes.

Solid understanding of master data and transactional data critical to Supply Chain operations (materials, vendors, pricing, contracts).

Familiarity with SAP reporting and analytics approaches, including embedded analytics, BDC, or integrated reporting landscapes.

Ability to translate business objectives into clear, implementable functional designs for system integrators and technical teams.

Education and Certifications

University degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

Supply Chain or SAP professional certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, SCMP, or specific SAP functional certifications) are considered strong assets.
