The maintenance millwright will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe systems in an industrial establishment.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for inspecting and testing machinery for wear and damage. Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.. The successful candidate must be fully licensed in the trade (433A Millwright trades license). This position is not open to apprentices.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, compressors and a wide variety of pumps.
- Install, commission and maintain hydraulic servo and proportional systems.
- Install, commission and maintain power transmission systems.
- Perform predictive and preventative maintenance.
- Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts.
- Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
- Maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.

OTHER INFORMATION
- Must be flexible to work all shifts. Overtime is required, as per the collective agreement.
- Two weeks' vacation after one year of service. One day of vacation will be granted for each month of service completed for the first year.
