Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, efficient, and detail-oriented Picker to support daily warehouse operations. A Picker plays a key role in ensuring that customer orders and production materials are accurately selected, prepared, and routed for shipment or assembly. This position supports smooth warehouse operations, reduces errors, and contributes to an efficient order fulfillment process.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Picking & Order Fulfillment
- Accurately pick products, parts, or materials based on order sheets, scanners, or inventory systems
- Verify correct item numbers, quantities, and locations before completing each pick
- Prepare picked items for staging and delivery to production lines
- Maintain accurate documentation in warehouse management or ERP systems
- Communicate with warehouse, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely order flow
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance accuracy and efficiency in picking processes
Quality & Accuracy
- Communicate discrepancies, missing items, and damaged goods to management
- Audit picked routes to ensure accuracy and fulfill any special customer requests for part placement
Ensure customer requests for part placement and product handling are met
Safety and Compliance
- Follow all OSHA, company safety protocols, and quality guidelines in handling automotive parts and equipment
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, tuggers, and handheld scanners
- Keep aisles, shelving, and workstations clean and organized to prevent hazards and inventory discrepancies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, order picking, or logistics preferred
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily productivity goals
- Familiarity with warehouse management and scanning systems
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift, move, or carry materials as required up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate multiple types of material-handling equipment such as tuggers and order pickers
