Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated student to join our team as a Pool Attendant / Grounds Assistant. This position is ideal for a student looking for part-time seasonal work in a hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the pool area each morning and assisting with various hotel property duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Open and prepare the pool area each day for guest use
- Arrange pool furniture, umbrellas, and other amenities
- Ensure the pool deck and surrounding areas are clean, tidy, and presentable
- Empty waste and recycling receptacles as required
- Conduct basic inspections of the pool area and report any concerns to management
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor common areas
- Assist with light property maintenance and housekeeping tasks as assigned
- Support hotel staff with other duties from time to time
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in secondary school, college, or university
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Friendly and professional when interacting with guests
- Able to perform light physical work, including lifting, bending, and outdoor tasks
- Previous hospitality, maintenance, or customer service experience is an asset but not required
Schedule
- Approximately 3 hours per day
- 6 days per week
- Morning shifts preferred to ensure the pool area is ready for guests
Pay: $17.60 per hour
