Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing installation and repair, with a strong understanding of construction principles and safety protocols. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial buildings, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to ensure high-quality workmanship. Candidates should be detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to maintaining safety standards on-site.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using various materials, but mainly asphalt shingles
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively during roofing operations
- Measure and cut materials accurately for proper fit and alignment
- Apply caulking, sealants, and other waterproofing materials to ensure roof integrity
- Assist with related construction tasks including concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, or electrical work as needed
- Operate heavy equipment for material handling or site preparation when necessary
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing installation, repair, or related construction roles
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and other relevant equipment
- Knowledge of construction estimating principles is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in construction environments
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights
- Valid Fall Arrest preferred but not mandatory
