Role Summary
The Security Trailer Build & Field Technician is responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and deployment readiness of mobile security trailers and towers. This role supports both in-shop builds and on-site installations, ensuring all units are fully functional, tested, and ready for deployment.
This position requires a hands-on individual with strong mechanical and technical skills, the ability to drive and transport equipment, and flexibility to assist with field installations and service work as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Trailer Build & Assembly
- Assemble and outfit mobile security trailers and towers according to company standards
- Install and configure components including cameras, sensors, power systems, and networking equipment
- Perform wiring, mounting, and integration of hardware and electrical systems
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all units meet operational and safety requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve build issues prior to deployment
Testing & Preparation
- Test all systems including power, connectivity, cameras, and sensors before deployment
- Ensure trailers are fully stocked with required components (fuel, batteries, accessories)
- Maintain build documentation and checklists for each unit
Field Support & Installation
- Assist with on-site deployment, setup, and commissioning of security trailers when required
- Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and service calls at job sites
- Work alongside installers and project coordinators to ensure smooth execution
Logistics & Transport
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport trailers, equipment, and materials
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklift, telehandler where applicable)
- Ensure trailers are secured and compliant for transport
Key Deliverables

- Safe and efficient transport of equipment and trailers
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with ability to tow trailers
- Experience with mechanical assembly, electrical work, or similar hands-on roles
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Basic understanding of low-voltage systems, wiring, or networking is an asset
- Ability to lift and move equipment as required
- Willingness to travel to job sites and work in outdoor conditions
