At Mt Seymour, we believe being in the mountains is incredible. Our mission is to create “wow” experiences in a mountain environment for all skillsets and abilities, and our summer programs are no exception.
Our Eco-Adventure Camp is a wilderness-based day camp for children aged 5-12, focused on nature, connection, outdoor skills, and personal growth. We’re looking for Outdoor Education Program Guides to deliver engaging, hands-on experiences and help create unforgettable days for our campers.
As a Program Guide, you’ll be part of a small, passionate team bringing our summer camp programs to life. You’ll lead groups of children through outdoor adventures, teach foundational wilderness skills, and foster a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
This is an active, outdoor role where you’ll spend your days hiking trails, leading games and activities, and building meaningful connections with campers, all while working in a beautiful mountain setting.
There is also potential for work throughout the winter season December-March, supporting our snowshoe tours and winter programming.
Mt Seymour Resort is seeking strong environmental role models to be Summer Program Instructors for our wilderness-based summer day camps. Mt Seymour’s Eco-Adventure Camp provides wilderness-based day camp programs for children aged 5-12. Our experiential camps engage kids in nature education, wilderness survival skills, and personal growth.
Program development, program delivery, direct leadership and care of children and youth, and general administrative support.
Camp Instructors will work collaboratively to:
- Develop and refine age-appropriate program content
- Deliver safe, engaging daily programming
- Ensure the care, safety, and injury prevention of all campers\
- Support inclusion, self-regulation, and positive social development
- Mentor and support volunteer leaders
- Create and maintain a positive, fun, and inclusive camp environment
- Develop props, materials, and supporting program equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of program spaces and ensure safety is always a top priority
- Complimentary winter staff season pass and shuttle bus pass

- Winter reciprocal passes at other mountains
- Two weeks of paid training, including program delivery, trail orientation, and learning about Mt Seymour’s flora, fauna, and unique history

- Employment duration: June 15 – September 4, 2026
- Part-time hours from June 15 to June 29; full-time (40 hours/week) during camp operations from June 29 (excluding July 1 & August 3 stat holidays)
- Must be willing to complete a criminal record check
- Must be willing to occasionally supervise children travelling to and from camp on buses
- Must be comfortable working in a mountain environment with variable weather conditions
- Minimum age requirement 16 years old (as per Provincial employment standards for nature of position)

Wage range: $18.50 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience
Candidates currently residing outside of the Vancouver area should indicate their relocation timeline (online/video interviews available)
