Raise is currently hiring an Engineering Program Support – Intake, Data & Controls on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
Our client is seeking a structured, detail-oriented Engineering Program Support professional to play a pivotal role in our Telecom Engineering group. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical engineering tasks and program management. You will be responsible for coordinating the intake of new engineering requests, managing specialized design data, implementing project controls, and supporting telecom-specific engineering tools to ensure data integrity, usability, and lifecycle alignment across our portfolio.
Responsibilities

Program Intake & Coordination
-
Serve as the primary point of contact for the engineering intake process, evaluating incoming telecom design and program requests for completeness.

Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to track project readiness, clarify missing data, and route assignments to the appropriate engineering teams.

Organize and support training coordination, documentation updates, and onboarding materials for engineering tools and workflows.

Data Management & Lifecycle Controls

Maintain and support Telecom Design Tools, ensuring data integrity, tool usability, and systematic tracking of the asset lifecycle.

Implement data governance and quality control practices to ensure engineering records are accurate and up-to-date.

Administer and organize engineering data across shared platforms like SharePoint, engineering databases, and workflow management systems.

Project Controls & Reporting

Assist with project controls by tracking program schedules, monitoring deliverables, and compiling progress reports.

Develop and maintain program dashboards (e.g., via Power BI or advanced Excel) to provide visibility into team capacity, timelines, and bottlenecks.

Use workflow management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project) to monitor task progression and ensure design compliance with timeline targets.

Engineering Practice & Professional Quality

Apply prescribed analysis, computation, and design methods following established practices and standards.

Participate in the organizations engineering practice using initiative and judgment in making routine technical decisions.

Perform periodic independent tasks, which may include on-site construction quality control and monitoring to ensure design compliance.
Work under the organizations Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP) Quality Management Pillar, ensuring proper retention and preservation of project documentation to satisfy EGBC Bylaws.

Qualifications
-
2 years of experience in a relevant engineering or project coordination field.

Prior experience working within telecommunications, electric utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.

Familiarity with CAD systems, drawing standards, and standard industry design/analysis software.

Experience with project and workflow management platforms (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar).

Advanced proficiency in data management and reporting tools (e.g., Advanced Excel, Power BI, SharePoint).

Experience with data governance and quality control practices

Prior experience supporting engineering intake processes or program coordination

Experience with training coordination or documentation support

Intermediate to advanced English communication skills (both written and spoken) tailored for a professional engineering environment.

Exceptional organizational skills with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality control.

Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track ability to coordinate between multiple project teams and stakeholders.

Education and Certifications
-
University graduate in Applied Science or Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Engineers & Geoscientists BC (EGBC), or currently registered in another Canadian jurisdiction and eligible for immediate registration with EGBC.

Ability to work in a hybrid (office + remote) environment

Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.

Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network
