Position Summary
Fofana’s Heavy Duty Cleaning and Maintenance Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Heavy Duty Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day cleanliness, maintenance, and operation of a condominium property. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while working closely with Property Management, residents, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections of common areas throughout the building.
- Maintain the cleanliness of garbage rooms, recycling rooms, and compactor areas.
- Change compactor bins and monitor waste management systems.
- Vacuum common area carpets and sweep and mop hard surface floors as required.
- Complete minor maintenance and repair tasks, including replacing light bulbs, touch-up painting, and small repairs.
- Monitor the property for maintenance concerns and report issues to Property Management.
- Coordinate and provide access for contractors working on-site.
- Assist with service elevator bookings and contractor access when required.
- Perform seasonal duties, including salting and shovelling entrances until the snow removal contractor arrives.
- Water exterior planters and landscaped areas during the growing season.
- Maintain building maintenance logs and complete routine inspection reports.
- Provide courteous and professional service to residents, visitors, and contractors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Superintendent, Building Operator, Heavy Duty Cleaner, or Maintenance Technician is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of condominium or commercial building operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance and repair work.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks.
- Reliable, professional, and customer-service focused.

Pay: $33,000.00-$35,000.00 per year
