Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Lawn Care Contractor to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This role involves providing professional landscaping and maintenance services to residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and construction-related tasks, ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care services including mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy and attractive lawns.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators for landscaping projects or site preparation.
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution.
- Conduct gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, mulching, and soil preparation.
- Maintain landscape features by performing routine upkeep and seasonal clean-up.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment safely and effectively for various maintenance tasks.
- Assist with construction projects related to landscape installation or renovation.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and perform basic mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations during all operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields.
- Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of landscaping machinery and tools.
- Familiarity with excavation equipment such as excavators is preferred.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of landscape design principles and horticultural practices.
- Excellent physical stamina with the ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation is preferred for site access.
- Prior experience in construction or maintenance work is advantageous but not mandatory. This role offers a dynamic work environment where you can apply your skills in landscaping, construction, and horticulture while contributing to the beautification of outdoor spaces across the GTA area.
