Crafty Ramen Market is hiring a Line Lead to help oversee our production line and support our food production team. If you’re an organized, hands-on leader with experience in food production, manufacturing, or a commissary kitchen environment, we’d love to hear from you! This role is responsible for leading daily production activities, supporting team members on the floor, and ensuring our products are assembled and packaged safely, efficiently, and to Crafty Ramen’s quality standards.
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in food production, manufacturing, commissary kitchen, or a similar environment
- Leadership experience, including training, coaching, or supervising team members
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, food safety regulations, and quality management systems preferred
- Experience with inventory management, production planning, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement preferred
- Forklift certification or other equipment certifications preferred, where applicable
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and coordinating daily production activities to ensure schedules and production targets are met
- Assigning tasks and providing direction to Production Team Members throughout the shift
- Ensuring the assembly area is fully prepared, stocked, organized, and production-ready before shift start
- Verifying ingredients, packaging materials, labels, and supplies are available and staged appropriately
- Monitoring line performance and workflow to maximize efficiency and reduce downtime
- Identifying and addressing production bottlenecks, equipment issues, and operational concerns in a timely manner
- Communicating production updates, issues, and shift performance to the Production Manager
- Ensuring products meet Crafty Ramen quality standards, recipes, specifications, and packaging requirements
- Conducting regular line checks to verify product quality, portion accuracy, packaging integrity, labelling accuracy, and process compliance
- Ensuring all food safety procedures, sanitation requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices are consistently followed
- Supporting FIFO inventory practices to maintain freshness and minimize waste
- Completing and reviewing required quality control and production documentation accurately
- Training and onboarding new employees on production processes, food safety procedures, and company standards
- Coaching, motivating, and supporting team members to encourage accountability and strong performance
- Promoting a positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment
- Monitoring ingredient and packaging inventory levels and reporting shortages, discrepancies, or waste
- Supporting a clean, organized, and safe production area throughout each shift
- Helping identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, workflow, and waste reduction

Experience:
- Food production, manufacturing, commissary kitchen, or similar environment: 1 year preferred
- Leadership, training, coaching, or supervising team members: 1 year preferred
Licence/Certification:
- HACCP or food safety training preferred
- Forklift certification preferred, where applicable
