Cellphone Repair Technician & Sales Associate
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused, and results-driven Cellphone Repair Technician & Sales Associate to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices using professional repair equipment.
- Perform high-quality repairs, including:
-Screen replacements
- Back glass replacements
- Battery replacements
- Charging port repairs
- Camera, speaker, microphone, and button repairs
- Water damage diagnostics and treatment
- Software troubleshooting, updates, and data transfers
- Motherboard diagnostics and repair experience is highly preferred.
- Microsoldering experience is a strong asset.
- Test all devices before and after repair to ensure quality and functionality.
- Clearly explain repair options, technical issues, pricing, and recommendations to customers in an easy-to-understand and professional manner.
- Generate sales by recommending accessories, device protection, repair services, and wireless solutions.
- Conduct inside sales activities to build customer relationships and increase revenue.
- Deliver exceptional customer service from initial inquiry through repair completion.
- Answer phone calls, greet walk-in customers, and respond to inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system to process sales, track repairs, and maintain accurate customer records.
- Receive, organize, and maintain inventory in accordance with company procedures.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and professionally presented.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Qualifications & Core Competencies
- Previous experience repairing smartphones and tablets is required.
- Strong knowledge of Android and iPhone hardware and software.
- Experience with screen, battery, charging port, back glass, camera, speaker, and other component repairs.
- Motherboard repair and microsoldering experience is a significant advantage.
- Technical certification or education in electronics, consumer electronics, or a related field is an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Sales-oriented with the ability to confidently recommend products and services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Honest, reliable, and trustworthy. - Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable working flexible retail hours, including weekends when required.
Experience
- 1+ years of cellphone or electronics repair experience preferred.
- Retail sales experience, preferably in the wireless, electronics, or technology industry.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Fluent English required; additional languages such as Spanish are an asset.
