Roadtrek Inc. is a leading Canadian RV manufacturer known for innovation, quality, and craftsmanship in the design and production of premium Class B motorhomes. Located in Cambridge, Ontario, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Water Spider (Warehouse Logistics) to join our Logistics team.
The Water Spider is responsible for accurately picking and delivering parts to the production line based on scheduling requirements and material needs. This role plays an important part in ensuring the timely flow of materials, supporting operational efficiency, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to a safe and organized warehouse environment.
This is a full-time permanent unionized position. Regular hours of work will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Work hours may increase or decrease from time to time in accordance with the Collective Agreement or as otherwise agreed between the parties in writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and prepare parts from the warehouse according to production schedules, ensuring accuracy in part numbers, quantities, and delivery requirements.
- Deliver materials to the production line in a timely manner to support uninterrupted operations.
- Inspect parts for damage or defects and report concerns to the appropriate department.
- Maintain an organized warehouse and picking area, including proper storage of materials and disposal of empty containers and packaging.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, discrepancies, or potential impacts to production.
- Record and track picked parts using the company’s warehouse management system and maintain accurate documentation.
- Operate a forklift or other material-handling equipment, where required, in accordance with training and licensing requirements.
- Collaborate with Logistics, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure efficient material flow and adherence to schedules.
- Follow all company safety procedures and ensure the safe handling of parts, equipment, and materials.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or parts picking within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Valid Lift Truck License considered an asset, or ability to successfully complete company-required lift truck training.
- Ability to safely perform the physical demands of the position, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable and dependable with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and procedures within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
