Reporting to the Project Controls Lead (Site), the Project Planner – Site is responsible for developing, updating and monitoring the Master Level 3 control schedule, and review and validate the Level 4 detailed schedules from contractor for one or more Areas (Process Plant, Underground Mining, Tailings & Stockpile Facilities, Non-Process Infrastructure). The incumbent contributes to progress measurement, variance and critical-path analysis, and the integration of ePCM and Owner’s schedules into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), while supporting the production of project progress reports. Based at the Windfall site, located in the Nord-du-Québec region, he/she will be called upon to work a schedule of 15 days on, 13 days off, or 8 days on, 6 days off. Transportation, lodging and meals provided.
Tasks and responsibilities
Develop, maintain and update the Master Level 3 control schedule for one or more Areas, aligned with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS);- Integrate and validate the Level 4 detailed schedules issued by contractors (logic, durations, constraints and milestones);
- Code activities according to project structures (Area, discipline, commodity, EPS) to enable multi-structure reporting;
- Produce and issue the 3-week look-ahead schedule on a weekly basis;
- Prepare recovery plans in the event of critical-path slippage and monitor their execution;
- Measure, review, and validate physical progress using installed quantities and approved Rules of Credit, and calculate Earned Hours;
- Cross-check installed quantities against Level 4 activity completion and flag activities tracking off plan;
- Perform schedule variance (SV, SPI) and critical-path analysis, and produce updated forecasts;
- Produce progress curves (S-curves) and performance indicators for one or more Areas.;
- Integrate supplier and contractor schedules into the Project Integrated Master Schedule at the monitoring levels defined by the Owner’s Project Controls Team (OPCT);
- Review, challenge and validate ePCM and contractor schedule deliverables (accuracy, completeness, traceability to the approved baseline);
- Maintain alignment between the schedule, the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), budgets and approved changes;
- Ensure the integrity, traceability and auditability of schedule and progress data;
- Support the weekly Procurement Packages Status Report (PPSR) review and update the schedule accordingly;
- Contribute to the production of weekly and monthly progress reports (MPR) according to the reporting calendar;
- Participate in schedule reviews with the project team to address variances and critical items;
- Highlight key schedule and critical-path issues in reports.

Required qualifications
University or college degree in engineering, project management or a related field;- 6 to 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling on industrial or mining projects;
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and experience in progress measurement;
- Good understanding of construction environments (EPCM/ePCM) and AACE/PMP practices (an asset);
- Bilingualism required (French and English).
