Job Description:
-
Work with physicians, patients, families and interprofessional teams
- Provide clinical services including assessment, intervention and consultation for in patients with cardiorespiratory, neurological and orthopaedic conditions

Communicate all pertinent information with the healthcare team, school and community agencies in the most effective and efficient manner to plan, implement, and review the patient’s total care program
-
Participate in ongoing education and training and remain up to date on best practice

Collaborate with the physiotherapy team to prioritize and manage workload
- Participate in the supervision of students and support personnel and in teaching, and research
-
Represent Physiotherapy or Health Discipline Practice on committees
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives

This position is for inpatient weekend coverage. Possible weekday coverage as per the candidate’s availability

Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (Essential)
-
Minimum of two years’ experience in paediatrics (Preferred)
-
Inpatient hospital experience (Preferred)
-
Advanced training in orthopaedic, neurodevelopmental, cardiorespiratory and/or other specialized techniques (Preferred)

Communicate effectively, orally and in writing (Essential)
-
Demonstrated ability to work interprofessionally (Essential)

Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills (Essential)

Bilingualism (English and French) (Essential)

Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
