Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking part-time Warehouse Associate to join our North York warehouse team.
This is a hands on warehouse position involving receiving and shipping goods, organizing inventory, preparing pallets, and assembling or disassembling incoming equipment and inventory.
The successful candidate should be comfortable performing physical warehouse work and using drills, screwdrivers, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
The work schedule is flexible and can be arranged during our regular operating hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Applicants must be able to commit to a dependable and consistent weekly schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and unload inbound pallets and shipments.
- Inspect incoming goods and confirm quantities received.
- Put products away and maintain organized inventory.
- Assemble and disassemble incoming equipment and inventory.
- Use drills, screwdrivers and other basic hand and power tools.
- Sort and organize parts and materials from disassembled equipment.
- Pick and prepare products for outgoing shipments.
- Build pallets, shrink-wrap products and prepare them for shipping.
- Load and unload products using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts.
- Keep the warehouse clean & organized - Daily
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience is an asset.
- Experience working with drills, screwdrivers and other tools is an asset.
- Basic mechanical ability.
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand, bend and perform repetitive lifting throughout the shift.
- Dependable, punctual and able to maintain regular attendance.
- Able to follow instructions and work safely.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional Assets
The following experience is beneficial but not required:
- Forklift experience.
- Pallet-jack experience.
- Shipping and receiving experience.
- Experience assembling or disassembling equipment.
- Experience working with hand and power tools.
Hours and Compensation
- Flexible weekday schedule.
- Hours must fall between Monday and Friday, 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- A consistent weekly schedule will be agreed upon with the successful candidate.
- Fully on-site at our North York warehouse near Keele Street and Steeles Avenue.
