Position Title: Childcare Facilitator
Position Status: Part Time Hourly (Seasonal)
Reports To: Recreational Program Manager
Compensation: $17.95/hour (starting)
Hours of work: Sundays, 1:30pm-4:00pm
Start date: October 4th, 2026
End date: December 13th, 2026
Job Overview
Childcare Facilitators will be responsible for implementing a safe and engaging environment for children (ages 3-12), ensuring that club policies and procedures are met. Childcare Facilitators will implement fun, age-appropriate activities that run concurrent to our Women’s League. The program takes place for 10 weeks at the Gryphon Fieldhouse (55 East Ring Road, located at the University of Guelph).
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise children and provide quality care, service, and support to children and families.
- Implement fun, age-appropriate activities.
- Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.
- Maintain effective communication with parents, children, other staff, and the club.
- Act as a positive role model.
- Complete required documentation, including attendance and incident report forms.
- Ensure all child-minding equipment is maintained in good working order and meets safety requirements.
- Attend team meetings (as scheduled) to review the quality of the program.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required to work weekends.
- Proven experience with children and youth.
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with children, families, staff, and volunteers.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates reliability, honesty, and integrity.

Pay: From $17.95 per hour

- Guelph, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
