About the Role
As a Plumbing Project Manager & Estimator with Jayden’s Mechanical, you’ll be a key member of a growing,
high-performing team. We are a privately owned and operated business dedicated to quality work, safety, and outstanding
customer service.
This is a full-time, permanent position for someone who wants to use their plumbing and construction experience to
both win work and successfully deliver it—from first take-off to project close-out—within a rapidly expanding company that
rewards initiative and hard work.
Key Responsibilities
(Include but are not limited to)
Estimating & Pre-Construction
- Source, review, and target a variety of plumbing projects (commercial, industrial, and residential as applicable).
- Attend walk-throughs and site meetings to determine project scope and installation requirements.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, addenda, and related documents to prepare accurate time, cost, material, and
labour estimates.
- Prepare detailed and clearly organized estimates and bid submissions for internal review and client presentation.
- Consult with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members to clarify scope, pricing, and
constructability.
- Review material and labour requirements to determine the most cost-effective and practical solutions.
- Assist in vendor and subcontractor selection by reviewing quotes and ensuring alignment with project scope and
budget.
Project Management & Execution
- Take ownership of awarded plumbing projects from handoff through to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, and manpower loading in coordination with field supervisors
and plumbers.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time and on budget.
- Monitor project costs, track changes, and assist with change orders, extras, and progress billing.
- Provide clear communication and regular updates to clients, site supervisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Support field teams with clarification of drawings, specifications, and scope questions.
- Proactively identify and resolve conflicts, site issues, and scope gaps with practical, solutions-focused
problem-solving.
- Ensure work is performed in compliance with applicable plumbing codes, Ontario Building Code, safety
policies, and company standards.
- Participate in project close-out, including documentation, deficiency lists, and handover to the client.
- Perform additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of plumbing estimating experience in construction (commercial and/or residential; project
management experience is a strong asset).
- 306A Licensed Plumber or strong background in the plumbing trade is considered a major asset.
