J. Luciak Mechanical Ltd. is seeking a licensed Journeyman Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a dependable, motivated professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of passenger cars, light trucks, and SUVs. This role requires strong diagnostic abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to completing repairs safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain passenger vehicles and light trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake service, steering and suspension repairs, exhaust repairs, and other general automotive repairs.
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, drivetrain, electrical, heating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and manufacturer service information to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
- Perform vehicle inspections and provide accurate repair recommendations.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company safety policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Automotive Service Technician Certificate.
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electronic systems.
- Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.
- Proficiency using diagnostic scan tools and automotive repair equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical information.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a positive team environment.
