Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Construction Superintendent/Foreman to lead and oversee our Wheeler River Project. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth workflow and communication.
- Oversee quality control measures by inspecting work for compliance with blueprints/drawings, and specifications.
- Utilize construction management software to track progress, update schedules, and manage documentation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to uphold safety standards, enforce regulations, and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in performing civil construction work similar in scope to the Wheeler River Project.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software.
- Extensive construction experience with a solid understanding of blueprint/drawings reading.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and safety regulations on active job sites.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule and Logistics:
- Rotation: 14 days on, 7 days off.
- Shift: 11.5-hour workdays (11 hours paid/working, one half-hour unpaid lunch/break).
- Travel: Ground transportation provided via shuttle bus from Saskatoon to the project site or via helicoptor from Saskatoon.
- Accommodation: Construction camp and lodging will be provided.
