Gastech Systems Ltd. is a leading mechanical contractor specializing in commercial and residential HVAC and plumbing solutions across Ontario. We are growing our team and seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee new construction projects across ICI and multi-storey residential sectors.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Woodbridge, ON office, with regular site visits to active project locations. You will play a central role in driving project success from award through to closeout — coordinating with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver quality mechanical work on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for new construction ICI and multi-storey residential HVAC and plumbing projects
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking reports
- Coordinate with general contractors, consultants, engineers, and building owners
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, scope review, and contract administration
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
- Lead project meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders and senior management
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively
- Support project closeout including commissioning, deficiency resolution, and warranty management
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in the HVAC and/or plumbing trade
- Proven experience managing ICI (Institutional, Commercial, Industrial) and/or multi-storey residential construction projects
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, construction drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with Ontario Building Code and applicable trade standards
- Experience with subcontractor and supplier management
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Journeyperson trade certification (HVAC or plumbing) is considered a strong asset
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to project sites
Compensation & Benefits
